This post is dealing with PazaakCantina v2.0.0.8

With PazaakCantina, you can play multiplayer games over LAN or Internet.
You don't need any additional server files, just PazaakCantina.

In order to play a multiplayer game, you have to follow these steps:
1. Start Pazaak Cantina on your PC and go to the multiplayer tab
2. Select your desired game mode and click Host
3. Your friend starts PazaakCantina and goes to the multiplayer tab, too
4. After clicking the Refresh button, your previously hosted game should be in the list
5. Your friend selects your game and clicks connect

The procedure above works for both Internet and LAN games.

There are some conditions:
- PazaakCantina have to be added as an exception in your firewall (For testing, you can try to temporarily disable your firewall)
- If you're hosting a LAN game, your friend must be on the same subnet
- If you're hosting an Internet game, you have to enable port forwarding for port 333 TCP. If the port forwarding is not correctly configured, you will get the "You are not connectable" error message.

FAQ:

Q: What if your friend doesn't see your hosted game in the game browser after clicking Refresh?
A: Your friend must enter your IP address manually. If you're hosting an internet game, you can display your external IP address on webpages like this: http://www.whatsmyip.org/
If you're hosting a LAN game, your friend must enter the IP address of your PC in the LAN (e.g. 192.168.1.5)

Q: How to set up port forwarding?
A: Most people connect via router to the internet. You have to enter the address of your router (e.g. 192.168.1.1 or refer to manual / manufacturer's web page) in your browser and find the option port forwarding (sometimes also called Port settings or NAT settings). Here you can add a new entry:

Service Name: PazaakCantina (or whatever you like)
Service Type: TCP
Starting Port: 333
Ending Port: 333
Server IP address: The IP address that your PC has got in the LAN (e.g. 192.168.1.5). With some routers, you don't enter your IP address but select your PC's network name from a list.

This procedure differs, when using different routers. Therefore, it would be best to google for your router's manual and find the port forwarding section in it :)

Thanks, this really helped, though i am having trouble doing the whole "fire wall, forwarding" thing. So multiplayer dosen't pair you up with someone within your difficulty, but instead your friend has to join as well?

Yes, that's right. Someone has to join your server. There's no auto-pair option..

I am totally confused. When I start up pazaakcantina and go to multiplayer, all it has it a host button and a connect button with a textedit box next to it for the ip. Do i have the wrong version or something? cause I'm not getting this whole 'server list' thing.

The server list is empty, if no server is hosted. You can refresh the list by clicking the refresh button.

If you want to join a game, which is not listed (this should never happen!) then you can enter the IP address and the port manually in the text box.

When you click on a server in the list, the text box will be automatically filled with the IP address and the port.

But there isn't even a server list, or space for one. No refresh button or anything. Only a host button, a connect button, and a textbox to enter in the ip number. I'm pretty sure I have the wrong version. Either that, or it's a vista problem, or a firewall problem. But it hasn't given me any warnings, as if it is supposed to function that way. I probably have some outdated beta version. Which one do you have?

You are certainly using version v1.8.2.
This thread concerns version v2 alpha. You can download this version in the download section :)

I am currently developing a new version of Pazaak Cantina, which will be compatible to Pazaak Cantina Online. The new version will have a much easier multiplayer system compared to Pazaak Cantina v2.0.0.8.
